What’s Happening in Austin During the 2023 United States Grand Prix Weekend?

Driver appearances, superstar performances and exclusive DJ sets. There’s lots going on in Austin as the city embraces Formula 1 heading to town for the 11th running of the United States Grand Prix at Circuit of The Americas. We take a look at the events not to be missed in Austin over the 2023 United States Grand Prix weekend!

Williams F1 Austin Fan Zone

The Williams Formula 1 team will be returning to 800 Congress from Monday October 16 to Sunday October 22 with their Austin Fan Zone. The Williams pop up experience has been a hit at other races in recent years, including the Miami, Canadian, Singapore and British Grands Prix. After its successful debut in Austin last year, the event returns ahead of the 2023 United States Grand Prix weekend.

Alongside other yet to be confirmed celebrity guests, Williams’ current drivers Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant will be making a special appearance for Q&A and autograph sessions in the build up to the United States Grand Prix.

There’ll be a range of other experiences on offer too. Two show cars will be displayed, including the current FW45, and you can get to grips with the latest racing simulators, trying your hand at Esports activities. Exclusive merchandise will also be available. The Williams pop up experience at 800 Congress will be open from 10:00 Monday-Friday and from 11:00 on Saturday and Sunday. Aston Martin F1 Team: Make A Mark Conversation Series

Taking place at 12:00 on Wednesday October 18 at the Mulva Auditorium in University of Texas Engineering Education and Research Center, this three and a half hour conference will be attended by Aston Marin Formula 1 team personnel.

The Make A Mark Conversation Series brings together team leaders, innovators and creatives from various fields, who’ll share their insights during in-depth discussions.

Formula Wonderfest

Taking place just ahead of the 2023 United States Grand Prix, Paul Oakenfold will be bringing the tunes to Formula Wonderfest – a special night of music and entertainment as you gear up for the race weekend.

A whole host of other electronic music artists will be performing, including DJ LA.D.DA, Deezie Brown, and The Midnight Stroll. Enjoy local food and craft cocktails as you party under the stars.

The main event takes place just a 30 minute drive from Circuit of The Americas in Downtown Bastrop, at Neighbor’s Kitchen & Yard, Chestnut Street from 18:00 to 22:00. Tickets are priced at $35. There’s also a VIP after party, tickets for which are $75.

MAXIM Austin Race Weekend Party

DJ Diplo will be headlining MAXIM’s Austin Race Weekend Party, taking place at Superstition on E. Riverside Drive. Other DJ sets will come from local artists and there’ll be over 200 models and influencers in attendance.

MAXIM’s Austin Race Weekend Party takes place after qualifying for the 2023 United States Grand Prix on Saturday October 21 from 21:00. Ticket prices begin at $50.

Rev Country Austin

Hosted by racing driver Lindsay Brewer and headlined by LOCASH, Sports Illustrated presents Rev Country Austin, a race-themed party featuring country music.

In addition to the headliners, other yet-to-be-announced celebrity guests will also be in attendance. Red carpet and VIP experiences are available, with the most expensive tickets costing an eyewatering $25,000.

Like the MAXIM Austin Race Weekend Party, this event also takes place at Superstition, located at 1010 E Riverside Drive from 21:00 on Thursday October 19. General Admission tickets are priced from $40 and can be purchased here.

Austin F1 Fan Meetup

Trackside Entertainment at the 2023 United States Grand Prix

You don’t even have to leave the circuit gates to be entertained well into the night at Circuit of The Americas. COTA will once again have a stellar line-up of musical guests performing at the Germania Insurance Super Stage over the race weekend. The Killers will headline on Friday night, while Queen + Adam Lambert will perform on Saturday evening.

Further headline acts will perform as part of the “The American Soundtrack” series, showcasing performers from global superstars to amazing local bands. Magic Giant, Sir Woman, Nakia and Madam Radar are among those performing across a number of stages at the track. See the full line-up on the COTA website.

    1. It’s hard to meet the drivers at the track if you don’t have access to the F1 Paddock (which is hard to get!) There has been no announcement about autograph sessions for this year, sorry.
