The Mexico City Grand Prix has been a popular addition to the calendar since its revival in 2015. The event had a 23-year hiatus before returning almost a decade ago, but the passion of the Mexican fans hasn’t dwindled. Part of that is thanks to Sergio Perez’s presence on the grid. Perez is Mexico’s most successful Formula 1 driver and became the first Mexican driver to finish on the podium at his home race in 2021. Having raced with Red Bull for the past four seasons, the Mexican has six race wins under his belt. He may have struggled to find race-winning – or even podium-finishing – form in of late, but the partisan crowd will be hoping for a good showing from their local driver.

Sell-Out Crowd Expected
The Mexico City Grand Prix has been a sell-out event in every season since it re-joined the calendar – and 2024 was no exception. The event attracted over 330,000 fans each year between 2016 and 2020 and was the second best-attended race in 2021, with a record 371,000 passing through the circuit gates across race weekend. Attendance grew even higher in 2022, with a 3-day figure of over 395,000, before surpassing 400,000 for the first time in 2023. In 2024, a record crowd of 404,958 fans attended the race weekend in Mexico City.
How Much Will a Trip to the 2025 Mexico City Grand Prix Cost?
Tickets are not yet on sale for the 2025 Mexico City Grand Prix. In 2024, Mexico ranked among the most expensive of any race on the current Formula 1 calendar. Only races in Miami and Las Vegas have a higher average 3-day ticket price, though General Admission tickets are relatively reasonably priced. Grandstand tickets opposite the pits in Mexico cost around $1,700 – substantially more than the same seats at other races on the calendar. A 3-day grandstand ticket will set you back 50% of the average monthly wage in Mexico City.

With very limited parking in the vicinity of Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, the easiest way of getting to the circuit is to use the Metro. Taxi and Uber are also a viable option, though the streets of the city can be chaotic.
