Montreal is ready to embrace Formula 1’s arrival to the city with a range of events. We take a look at the biggest and best events for motorsport fans during the week of the 2024 Canadian Grand Prix!

The Canadian Grand Prix is one of the best-attended and most-loved events on the Formula 1 calendar. After an enforced two-year absence due to the coronavirus pandemic, the race returned to the schedule in 2022 with record attendance figures. Following huge demand for tickets once more in 2024, Montreal is set to embrace F1’s return with a range of events and activities across the city in the days leading up to the 2024 Canadian Grand Prix.
2024 Canadian Grand Prix Concerts
For the first time, two official concerts will take place at the 2024 Canadian Grand Prix. Unfortunately, unlike most other F1 events, the concerts are not free for race weekend ticket holders. The Concerts du Podium series sees The Chainsmokers headline on Friday June 7, while Pitbull will perform on Sunday night. Tickets for both events, priced at around $100 CAD, are available via Ticketmaster.
Williams Fan Zone
Returning for 2024, the Williams Fan Zone will once again be in action over the 2024 Canadian Grand Prix weekend. Exact details about the event are yet to be announced, but it will run from June 3-9 and feature driver appearances, meet and greets, show cars and Esports simulator rigs.

Crescent Street Grand Prix Festival
Crescent Street is the place for Formula 1 fans to be over the 2024 Canadian Grand Prix weekend. The street gets closed off over the race weekend, having hosted top tier entertainment for motorsport fans at each running of the Grand Prix since 1999. Footfall in excess of 600,000 is expected.
Since last year, under the event’s new owner-operator Feldman Entertainment Quebec Inc., the event has run for four days. This year it takes place on June 6-9, from 11:00 to 23:00 each day.
The Crescent Street Grand Prix Festival features DJ sets, local musical acts, pit stop challenges and nightly stage shows. In the past, Formula 1 drivers have also made appearances on the main stage. Expect F1 car displays, merchandise stalls and more – plus check out the best pubs, clubs and restaurants in the vicinity during your visit. Maxim Grand Prix Party
The team behind Crescent Street Grand Prix Festival are also producing the Maxim Grand Prix Party on Saturday June 8. Taking place at Windsor Station, the event will be a star-studded affair celebrating the race weekend. Top tier DJs will be performing, including rapper French Montana, with additional performances from Sommer Ray and Nervo.
Described as the race weekend’s most exclusive event, the 2024 Maxim Grand Prix Party will run from 22:00 to 03:00. General Admission tickets, which include access to the main indoor area and the outside courtyard, are available from $260 CAD. Grand Prix Party at Ritz-Carlton
Got space for formal wear in your suitcase? On Friday June 7, you can party like it’s the 1950s at The Ritz-Carlton on Rue Sherbrooke Ouest. The official hotel partner of the Mercedes Formula 1 team, the Ritz-Carlton’s black tie event will take place from 18:30 and will feature live musical performances from DJ YO-C, Fafa Khan, a Beatles tribute band and Shaharah Sinclair.
A percentage of ticket sales for the Grand Prix party will be donated to the Barry F. Lorenzetti Foundation, a charity which aims to improve mental health care in Canada. A limited number of tickets are available for the event, which has a reduced capacity this year. Tickets are in excess of $1,200 CAD.
Le Richmond’s Grand Prix themed events
The Le Richmond restaurant, at 377 Ave Richmond in the Griffintown district, will host a number of lavish events over the 2024 Canadian Grand Prix weekend, running from June 6-9. Four nights of themed events culminate with the Red Carpet Party on Saturday night, which is the place to be seen over race weekend.
The event will include a cocktail party, snacks, unlimited drinks, entertainment and VIP treatment for all guests. Tickets are priced at $500 CAD.
Le Richmond also plays host to a ‘Welcome Party’ on Thursday night and a Reunion party on Friday evening. An after race party is usually held on Sunday, though details for 2024 are yet to be announced. Find the latest information on the restaurant’s website.
Espace Grand Prix
Want to try your hand at being an F1 driver? The Espace Grand Prix, opposite the Sephora store at Centre Eaton de Montreal, is your opportunity to do so! With simulators on site from Wednesday June 5 to Sunday June 9, this is the perfect chance to feel the speed and adrenaline of racing.
Further sports stations allow you to to compete against your friends in pitstop challenges, ping pong and DIGI-SPORTS digital wall. The site will be open 12:00-21:00 from Wednesday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:00 on Saturday and 11:00 to 17:00 on Sunday.
F1 Exhibition in Toronto
Yes, we know, it’s not in Montreal. However, if your travel plans around the 2024 Canadian Grand Prix weekend take you near Toronto, it’s worth bearing in mind that the official F1 Exhibition is currently open in the city, through to July 14. Described as a must visit event for serious Formula 1 fans, tickets for the exhibition are available on the official website.
At the race track
Of course, the main event is the 2024 Canadian Grand Prix itself, taking place at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on the Ile Notre Dame island, as it has done since 1978. The three days of Formula 1 action will be complemented by a range of support series.
Joining F1 on track this year will be Ferrari Challenge and Porsche Carrera Cup North America. A pit lane walk will take place on Thursday, though fans needed to apply for a ticket through a random draw via the circuit newsletter.

- Business owners in Peel Street will be bringing the festival atmosphere to the city with the now traditional Formule Peel event. Featuring fashion, music and gastronomy, plus a line up of classic sportscars to get up close with on the street!
- Soubois club will be celebrating the Grand Prix with a week full of special events. Check out a different headlining DJ each night!
- New City Gas at 950 Ottawa Street is putting on special events over the 2024 Canadian Grand Prix weekend. As part of their GP24 events, Guy Laliberté, Sam Blacky and SONA will headline, while special events hosted in collaboration with Red Bull Racing will also be taking place. Meduza headlines Saturday night, while Don Diablo plays the post-race after party on Sunday.
- A number of high profile concerts are taking place at the Bell Centre in Montreal across Grand Prix week. American band Aventura are at the venue after qualifying on Saturday June 8, while Snoop Dogg headlines post-race on Sunday June 9.
- Keep an eye out across downtown Montreal for other businesses celebrating Grand Prix weekend. Expect kiosks, street food, freebies and merchandise from a range of companies across the city.
