Tickets are now on sale for the 2025 Australian Grand Prix. Formula 1 returns to Albert Park for the 28th running of the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 13-16. For the first time since 2019, the Australian Grand Prix will be the first round of the season. Next year, Albert Park will play host to Lewis Hamilton’s first race as a Ferrari driver, Carlos Sainz’s first race at Williams and local driver Jack Doohan’s Formula 1 debut.

As always, there is high demand for 2025 Australian Grand Prix tickets. Last year, the official seller’s race day ticket allocation sold out within just two hours of the general sale beginning, with 100,000 hopeful ticket buyers in the Ticketmaster queue. Supply is expected to outweigh demand once again in 2025.

This year, for the first time. Australian Grand Prix organisers are utilising a dynamic pricing model, which will see ticket prices increase in line with demand. As a result, we recommend securing your tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment of missing out on your preferred seats and to avoid paying higher prices!

We currently have a selection of fixed-price grandstand seats and general admission tickets (Park Passes) available in our ticket shop, courtesy of our trusted ticket partners GPT (Grand Prix Tickets, an official reseller for the race). These tickets are likely to sell fast.

2025 Australian Grand Prix Ticket Packages

Ticket packages for the 2025 Australian Grand Prix from F1 Experiences, Formula 1โ€™s official ticket package partner, are also now available.

As well as featuring all-inclusive hospitality options, ticket packages from F1 Experiences feature other exclusive perks, like guided paddock tours, pit lane walks and appearances by well-known stars of Formula 1. Check out the full range of packages here.

Third Party Issues Delay On Sale Date

The general sale of 2025 Australian Grand Prix tickets was scheduled to begin at 12pm AEDT on Tuesday October 8. However, the start of the ticket sale was delayed due to a “global third-party outage”, which struck Ticketmaster when the ticket sale was expected to begin. Race organisers therefore delayed the start of the general sale by 24 hours.

Fans who purchased an Access24 base token, priced at $199 AUD, have already had the opportunity to purchase their 2025 Australian Grand Prix tickets in a pre-sale event which ran from Wednesday October 2 to Friday October 4. A ballot pre-sale was also held on Monday October 7, exclusive for fans who had been emailed a pre-sale code. Hospitality tickets went on sale on September 10, with the most popular areas selling out.

Ticket Prices on the Rise at the 2025 Australian Grand Prix

Ticket prices are on the rise at Albert Park in 2025. In addition to increased base prices, the Australian Grand Prix will use a dynamic pricing model for the first time in 2025, which will see prices fluctuate based on demand. The model is expected to affect the most-sought after areas of each grandstand around the circuit. Ticket prices can rise by as much as 55% from their base prices at times of peak demand.

The cheapest tickets are Park Passes, which allow access to the track’s general admission areas. Priced at $279 AUD in 2024, the base price has increased to $309 AUD for 2025. Grandstand seats have also increased in price. The cheapest 4-day grandstand tickets can be found in the Button, Clark, Waite and Webber grandstands. The two latter stands were priced at $455 AUD in 2024, with starting prices increased by $30 AUD for 2025.

Tickets in the Fangio grandstand, which overlooks the starting grid, pit lane and podium celebrations, have increased in price by $100 AUD compared to two years ago. The Jones and Brabham viewing areas – both located at the opening corners of the track – are the most expensive, with 4-day prices starting at $750 AUD.

Another Record-Breaking Australian Grand Prix Weekend?

The 2025 Australian Grand Prix is expected to continue a trend of record-breaking attendances at Albert Park. Having had an official 4-day attendance figure of just under 420,000 in 2022, the 2023 figure rose by over 20,000 to 444,000. The figure grew to a new record level of 452,000 in 2024, with over 132,000 packed into the circuit on race day alone. It was the best-attended weekend sporting event in Melbourneโ€™s history.

To cater for the demand, 5,000 additional grandstand seats were available for the 2023 Australian Grand Prix than in 2022. The 16 grandstands at the circuit were also redesigned to allow for more seating capacity.

While fan favourite Daniel Ricciardo lost his F1 seat at Visa CashApp RB after the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix, the Australian crowd will still have two home drivers to cheer on at the 2025 Australian Grand Prix. Now a two-time Grand Prix winner, Oscar Piastri returns for his third outing at Albert Park with McLaren looking in great form in the latter stages of 2024. Could next year be the first time an Australian driver takes home a trophy at the Australian Grand Prix?

Jack Doohan, son of Australian motorcycling legend Mick Doohan, joins the Formula 1 grid in 2025. He’s set to make his F1 debut with Alpine at the 2025 Australian Grand Prix, becoming the first Australian to debut on home soil since Mark Webber in 2002. Webber famously finished fifth with Minardi on his first F1 appearance.

A Full Support Race Package

Despite the rise in ticket prices, the Australian Grand Prix can arguably still be considered as one of the best value for money races on the calendar, given the packed 4-day schedule at the event.

Plans are afoot for the 2025 event to be bigger than ever. After three days of the 2024 Australian Grand Prix weekend sold out, the focus is now on boosting Thursday ticket sales. Travis Auld, CEO of the Australian Grand Prix, says that a Thursday night concert will take place for the first time next year and discussions are ongoing with support series over how more on-track action can take place on the opening day of the event.

The popular Supercars championship is confirmed to race at Albert Park across the Formula 1 weekend and Formula 2 and Formula 3 will race on Australian Grand Prix weekend for the third time, having made a successful debut at the event in 2023. While the full 2025 support schedule is yet to be announced, the 2024 Australian Grand Prix weekend also included action from the Porsche Carrera Cup.

The 2025 Australian Grand Prix will be the third under the new contract signed between Formula 1 and Australian Grand Prix organisers. The signing of the new deal in June 2022 meant that Albert Park was contracted to remain on the calendar until at least 2035. Just six months later, that deal was extended by a further two years, through to 2037.
