Abu Dhabi Grand Prix organisers have confirmed the final two headline acts performing at Yas Marina Circuit in 2022. Dave and Def Leppard complete the line-up, joining already announced Kendrick Lamar and Swedish House Mafia.
November 4 Update: 8-time Grammy award winner Usher has now been added to the lineup for the Yasalam concert on Thursday November 17.
The ever-popular Yasalam After-Race Concerts return at the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with a stellar musical line up on each night of the race weekend. Taking place on November 17-20, Dave, Swedish House Mafia, Kendrick Lamar and Def Leppard are the confirmed headliners over the 2022 race weekend.
After hosting last year’s dramatic title decider between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, this year’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is officially sold out, though Golden Circle ticket upgrades for the nightly concerts remain available.
Dave to headline on Thursday night
British rapper Dave will kick off the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix festivities on Thursday night. Regarded as one of the greatest rappers of his generation, Dave rose to fame in 2018 and has since picked up countless awards – from Ivor Novellos to the Album of the Year prize at the Brit Awards, plus the coveted Mercury Prize.
Swedish House Mafia performing on Friday
Swedish house music legends Swedish House Mafia will headline after the opening practice sessions at Yas Marina Circuit on Friday evening. The supergroup will perform a selection of their greatest hits, including Don’t You Worry Child, Save The World and Moth To A Flame.
This won’t be Swedish House Mafia’s first F1 appearance – they also performed at the Singapore Grand Prix back in 2019.
Kendrick Lamar headlines on Saturday
14-time Grammy award-winning artist Kendrick Lamar will take to the stage after qualifying on Saturday at the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Having amassed critical acclaim since his 2012 debut release, Lamar released his latest album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, in May 2022.
Def Leppard close out the weekend on Sunday
After the Formula 1 season comes to a close at Yas Marina Circuit on Sunday evening, rock legends Def Leppard will get the post-season party underway.
With 110 million records sold worldwide, Def Leppard, who were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2019, need little introduction. Expect a storming set full of their greatest hits – from Pour Some Sugar On Me to Animal and When Love and Hate Collide.
Who can attend the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix concerts?
Thursday evening’s Dave/Usher concert is accessible to all Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket holders and all 3-day ticket holders are eligible to attend every concert over the weekend. 2-day ticket holders can attend every concert with the exception of Swedish House Mafia on Friday night, while single-day ticket holders can attend the concert on the day of their ticket plus Thursday night’s Dave/Usher concert.
Where are the Yasalam concerts held?
The concerts are held at Etihad Park (previously called Du Arena), which is located right next to Yas Marina Circuit, between the North Grandstand and Ferrari World. It is not to be confused with the nearby Etihad Arena, a larger concert venue south of the circuit! Gates to the concerts open quite early, but the main headline acts generally don’t come on until around 21:00 and finish by around 23:00.
