How Much Does it Cost to Attend the 2025 Japanese Grand Prix?

Estimating the cost of race tickets, accommodation and spending money for a weekend at Suzuka at the 2025 Japanese Grand Prix

Japan is an expensive tourist destination, especially when it comes to accommodation and getting around, though the Japanese Yen has fallen against most major currencies in receny years (especially the US dollar), which increases the value of traveling in Japan for foreign visitors. With limited accommodation available near Suzuka circuit, it’s easier to stay in nearby Nagoya and travel to the circuit by train each day. Luckily, Japanese Grand Prix tickets are some of the cheapest tickets on the current F1 calendar.

Budget

Mid-Range

High End

  • Spending money ($300 x 3) = $900 USD
  • Average costs above are per person based on a stay of 3 nights in Nagoya with race tickets, accommodation and spending money. The prices do not include flights (or other travel costs) required to reach Japan.
  • About our categories: Budget fans buy the cheapest race tickets (General Admission) and camp by the track or stay in a hostel. Mid-Range fans buy a grandstand ticket and stay in a 3-star hotel, whilst High-End fans buy a VIP or experience package and stay in a 4 or 5 star hotel.

  1. Hi Andrew, do you know when the general admission tickets will be on sale for the Japan grandprix? Also what general admission tickets are available, 3 day only or 1 day only tickets and how much they roughly cost.

    Cheers, Josh

    1. General Admission tickets (G,L,M,N,O) should go on sale on July 8. Last year, these were $78 for 3 days. I don’t think single-day tickets are available. More info in our Tickets Guide.

  2. Is there camping at the circuit for the weekend, being Friday Saturday nights, and also possible Sunday night? Went to the Super GTs at Fuji raceway, and could camp for free, hoping same possible for this weekend.

  3. Dear author and readers,
Japan’s consumption tax will rise on this October 1 (8% -> 10%), then fares and prices can be slightly higher than last year.

    1. Hi Mark, we don’t yet have the pricing for 2023. To be honest, I didn’t save it from last year either as it wasn’t really possible for foreigners to attend. Most recent I have saved is from 2019; most grandstand tickets were priced from $200-400 USD with a few like V2 upper and around the first corner at higher prices.

  4. Hi Andrew – for the Japanese Grand Prix in 2024 will they be selling one day tickets or will they just sell 3 day tickets? Thanks
