How to Buy Tickets for the 2025 Mexican Grand Prix

Your guide to buying tickets for the 2025 Mexico City Grand Prix. The best places to watch the action at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

The Mexican Grand Prix made a popular return to the calendar in 2015 and the race has enjoyed strong support from local fans. Tickets for the race always sell out quickly despite high prices. The race, now funded by the local government and known as the Mexico City Grand Prix, will stay on the F1 calendar until at least 2025. All tickets are sold for three days and start from less than $500 USD for General Admission 6A up to just over $2000 USD for the Main grandstand. We think the best value seats can be found in the Estadio section (Grada 14/15), which has an unrivaled atmosphere and is also where the podium ceremony takes place after the race.

Tickets for the 2025 Mexico City Grand Prix went on sale on November 11 via Ticketmaster Mexico and just a few days later, are now officially sold out. The good news is that our trusted supplier is now on sale! Official e-tickets are supplied directly from the race promoter allocation. We also recommend F1 Experiences Ticket Packages in Mexico. Choose from grandstand seats or access to hospitality in the Champions Club and Formula 1 Paddock Club plus exclusive trackside activities and accommodation/transfers. These will soon be on sale for 2025. In the meantime, you can join the wait list or place your deposit. Click the buttons below to check current availability of tickets and experiences.

Mexico City Grand Prix Tickets: Need to Know

  • All tickets are sold for 3 days.
  • There are no pass outs during the Mexico Grand Prix. If you leave the circuit, you cannot re-enter on the same day.
  • Children aged under 4 are granted free entry, but they cannot occupy a seat. There are no discounts for children aged 4-18. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Best Seats to Choose at the 2024 Mexico City Grand Prix?

  • (Budget (<$500): There’s only one small General Admission area in Mexico City (6a), which is located in the Blue Zone on the straight between Turns 3-4. Better to pay a little more for the cheapest seats in the Foro Sol Stadium Complex.
  • Mid-Range ($500-1000): The best atmosphere at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez can be found in the Estadio (Foro Sol Stadium). The more expensive Foro Sol North (Grada 15) are the ones to go for here. Other recommended grandstands with a better chance of on-track action include Grada 4-6 in the Blue Zone on the opening corners and Grada 10 in the Yellow Zone.
  • Hospitality (>$2000): The Champions Club by F1 Experiences (3-day access from $4,499 USD)  is recommended for all-inclusive hospitality opposite the pits and access to insider activities. The more expensive Formula 1 Paddock Club (3-day access from $8,899 USD) offers two trackside locations in Mexico City. For the best atmosphere, we recommend choosing Paddock Club in the Foro Sol Stadium rather than above the pits.

Main Grandstand

Blue Zone Grandstands

The Blue Zone, which takes in the opening three corners of the circuit, is one of the best places to watch the action at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. You can pretty much be guaranteed action on these corners at some point over the weekend, especially on the opening lap (this was where the leading drivers controversially cut the track at the start of last year’s race). Of the four grandstands in this section (Gold 3, 4, 5, 6), our pick is Gold 5; even though it is set further back from the track than the others, it offers the best panoramic views of this whole section of track. The cheapest General Admission 6A grandstand is also located in the Blue Zone, but on the straight; better to go for a more expensive grandstand, if you can afford it.

Grada 3

Grada 4

Grada 5

Grada 6

Yellow Zone Grandstands

Three grandstands – Platinium 9, 10, 11 – are located in the Yellow Zone next to turns 4-6. The slightly more expensive nr. 10 grandstand in the middle is the best one here, but in general it is hard to justify the much higher prices for the Yellow Zone.

Grada 9

Grada 10

Estadio (Foro Sol) Grandstands

The two grandstands in the stadium section seat almost 30 000 fans, giving this section an excellent atmosphere. Grada 14 is the better one if you can afford it, but they are both still worth considering. Most seats – even lower ones – still provide a fence-free view of the cars at low speed, making the stadium a good choice for amateur F1 photographers. Don’t forget, you also get to see the podium celebrations from the stadium (Grada 14 is better for this).

  1. Hi!
What do you think of the chances to get a good ticket for the race on sunday only (2019)? I might arrive saturday evening late and want to visit the race on sunday with two friends. Do you think you can get a ticket at the entrance or any chance on second hand tickets on the raceday?
    Tnx!

  2. hi, when do you expect tickets for the 2022 race to go on sale? Do we have to have paid a depsoit before? Also am i right in thinking they are sold only as 3 day tickets?

    Thanks

    Tom

      1. Thanks Andrew. Why does it say that some of the tickets on your pricelist are ‘sold out’ when the tickets are not expected to be on sale until start of March. Also i can see people selling tickets on viagogo? Have F1 officially released tickets for this race yet?

        1. Agree that it’s a bit confusing, but I can definitely confirm that the tickets are not sold out – just not allowed to be sold yet. The official site (mexicogp.mx) is still showing registrations, so tickets have not yet been officially released. And the people selling on Viagogo have no right to be selling tickets right now, as far as I’m concerned.

          1. No you cannot choose specific seats with our supplier, but you can request for a particular section/row and they will try to accommodate your request. It may be possible to choose seats when buying from the Mexico promoter.

      1. Hi, are all the tickets are already sold out? Is it common for tickets to sell out so fast (in March itself)?

        1. Yes they are sold out, don’t know if more will become available. This is the new reality for F1. More interest and demand for tickets means that events are selling out very fast.

  3. Hi Andrew,

What’s the deal with buying tickets? The Ticketmaster site just crashed and the official Formula 1 site is selling these tickets overpriced. Is everything pre-determined to be sold out and we’re only able to buy from resellers? Doesn’t seem fair…

I recieved an email from F1 Mexico to get into the ticket purchasing queue. When I got in (after 10 minutes wait), all tickets were sold out except for the most expensive green section. How is that possible?

  5. HI Andrew,
Trying to buy online today for three days F1 says everything but Grandstan are sold out??????
Please direct me to the right website.

  6. What sites do you recommend purchasing F1 tickets, since most will be resale, I am worried about scams.

  7. Hi, first time going to an F1 event. What section would you recommend for a budget of $650? Foro sol sur or Norte? Which has a better viewing angle or any other alternative sections around that price? Thank you.

    1. If you are buying grandstand seats, these are digital ticket that will be emailed to you. Only VIP/hospitality tickets are physical tickets that will be sent via courier.

  8. Hello,

The tickets are sold out everywhere! It’s crazy!
Do you know if there will be a second phase of sale?

    Thank you

    Hi,
Looking into buying the F1 experience tickets. Do you know what time the events start on Thursday? My flight is scheduled to arrive at 1:30 pm local time. Just wondering if it would even be worth it if I miss out on the Thursday events.

    Thanks

    1. Honestly, we don’t yet recommend any 3rd party reseller. It’s quite a new phenomenon for the tickets to sell out so fast. Probably you could look at Vivid Seats, Stubhub, Seat Geek – but I can’t recommend them and for sure the prices will be much higher than when they were available from the promoter

        1. Yes, basically everything sold out for Mexico in the space of a few days back in March. You will have to buy from a resale platform if you want to attend the race this year.

  10. We have the 3 Day tickets but are only going to be able to attend on Sunday. Is there a way to re-sell just the Friday/Saturday tickets? How does that work? Thanks!

    1. Honestly, not sure. It depends if you will receive individual tickets for each day, which I’m not sure for Mexico. Otherwise, if it’s only one ticket for all 3 days then you can’t resell the Friday/Saturday part without risk

  11. We bought tickets back in March and we just got an email yesterday stating they are unable to fulfill our order due to simultaneous bookings. Which I hope is not the case since we booked flights/ hotels already. Its our first time going, does this happen often or what is the deal. It is ridiculous

    1. Who did you buy from? I think a small number of buyers were affected by this problem with some ticket agencies (Gootickets, F1 Tickets). This is a very unfortunate situation, as the race has been sold out since basically the tickets went on sale. It will be very difficult to get reasonably priced tickets now; you will probably have to pay high prices on a resale platform. Sorry this happened to you. I’m sure the ticket company is sympathetic, but not offering you compensation or anything. If you know a good laywer, you could ask them to send a letter to the ticket company on your behalf explaining the situation and asking for compensation. I have no idea if you will have any success, but could be worth a try.

    1. I’m not sure exactly, this could be the hospitality space on that set of corners that’s also called the “VIP Speed Lounge”. For sure, there’s hospitality and also some kind of viewing terrace, but I don’t know more and I haven’t seen this for sale this year.
