Very few races in Formula 1 history had as much hype as the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix. Despite some initial setbacks, with track running limited on the first day, the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix produced an entertaining on-track spectacle with a Saturday night Grand Prix full of overtaking and close battles. Charles Leclerc secured pole position but it was Max Verstappen who claimed a record-breaking 20th win of the year for the Red Bull team.

2023 may have been the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix, but it wasn’t Formula 1’s first visit to Sin City. The Caesars Palace Grand Prix took place in the early 1980s on the parking lot of the famous hotel – whereas the new event takes place on The Strip itself.

Officially announced in March 2022, the Las Vegas Grand Prix is one of the most extravagant spectacles ever seen in Formula 1, as the cars race around the city’s famous landmarks, from the iconic Bellagio Fountains to the recently opened MSG Sphere. Unlike most other races on the 2024 calendar, the Las Vegas Grand Prix runs from Thursday to Saturday.

Limited 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix Tickets Still Available

With around 100,000 tickets available per day, a weekend attendance figure somewhere in the region of 300,000 is expected at the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix. Last year’s 4-day event was attended by 315,000, making it the seventh-best-attended race weekend of the year. While that’s the number of grandstand, general admission and hospitality tickets expected to be sold, the number of people in the city soaking up the atmosphere will be substantially much higher.

Yet to secure tickets for the race? Most ticket categories for the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix are still available. A limited number of grandstand seats, general admission passes and hospitality packages remain available in our ticket shop.

All-inclusive hospitality packages are also available from F1 Experiences, Formula 1’s official ticket package partner. As well as premium trackside hospitality, these packages include other perks such as pit lane walks, paddock tours and exclusive appearances by famous faces from the world of Formula 1.

How to Get to Las Vegas Strip Circuit

There are plenty of ways to get around in Las Vegas – from car, to taxi or Uber, or even limousine (it is Vegas, after all!). If you’re staying in one of the many hotels close to the circuit, it may be easier to simply walk to the track for each day of F1 action. Race organisers strongly encourage those able to walk to the track to do so. (Walking directions from strip hotels to different parts of the track in 2023 were inadequate – and sometimes downright misleading – for the inaugural race; let’s hope the organisers have been working on this for 2024!)

We have further details on public transport in Las Vegas – such as bus, tram and even monorail – in getting around guide for race weekend in Vegas. Official shuttle services for Grand Prix attendees are expected to be available, but details are yet to be announced for 2024.

Note that a number of road closures will be in place to accommodate the Grand Prix weekend – be sure to check before making travel plans.

Download the official Las Vegas Grand Prix app for interactive maps which will help you find your way to your designated ticket zone. The app also shows real-time road closures.

How Much Does it Cost to Attend the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix?

Tickets for the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix are not cheap. In fact, the average cost of tickets for this event are the most expensive of any of the 24 races on the 2024 Formula 1 calendar – and by quite a margin. The average cost of 3-day tickets in Las Vegas is $1,617. It’s a figure which is down slightly on the 2023 cost, but is still a whopping $739 more than the average cost of tickets for the Miami Grand Prix, second on the list.

The cheapest General Admission tickets ($600) are the most expensive anywhere on the calendar, coming in at $100 more expensive than in 2023. Grandstand tickets are much more expensive than at any other race on the calendar. Tickets for the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix cost almost a third of the average monthly wage of local residents.

With this being Vegas, it’s unsurprising that some hotel resorts have capitalised on Formula 1’s presence and have offered ticket packages at much higher prices. All-inclusive multi-million dollar tickets are offered at a range of Las Vegas’ most famous resorts.

We estimate that the average fan will spend around $3,000 on a trip to the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix. That price includes 3-day grandstand seats, a three night stay in a local three star hotel, plus daily spending money. Trackside at the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix

In 2023, the Las Vegas Grand Prix was one of the only races on the Formula 1 calendar at which the F1 cars were the only on-track action of the weekend. This year, there will be one support series, in the form of Ferrari Challenge. The F1 race weekend comprises of two practice sessions on Thursday night, final practice and qualifying on Friday night and the Grand Prix itself on Saturday night.

The T-Mobile Zone at Sphere is the place to be for all the trackside entertainment – including headline performances from OneRepublic, Alesso, Ludacris, The Beaches. Quintessential Las Vegas shows from the likes of Cirque du Soleil and Blue Man Group also entertained the crowds in 2023 – and are likely to do so again this year. There was also an Opening Ceremony on the Wednesday before the race last year. It’s yet to be confirmed if this will return in 2024.

All-inclusive food and (non-alcoholic) drink was available to those with grandstand seats in the East Harmon Zone, West Harmon Zone and T-Mobile Zone at Sphere all weekend last year. For further information about accessing the track, prohibited items and the full schedule, check out our fully updated 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix trackside guide.
