Green Day, Westlife & Marshmello to Perform at 2022 Singapore Grand Prix Concerts

Formula 1’s original night race returns later this year and Singapore Grand Prix organisers have announced 2022’s headline performers. Marshmello, Westlife and Green Day will all perform over the 2022 Singapore Grand Prix weekend on September 30 to October 2.

After two years off the calendar due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Singapore Grand Prix returns in 2022. The Marina Bay Street Circuit race is Formula 1’s original night race, having first appeared on the schedule in 2008.

The Singapore Grand Prix was one of the first to fully embrace off-track entertainment at Formula 1 race weekends and has provided fans with a stellar musical line up each year. The long list of big name artists who’ve taken to the stage in previous years include Muse, The Killers, Katy Perry, Rihanna and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The main Padang stage will play host to the weekend’s biggest concerts, with 2022’s first confirmed artists including Marshmello, Westlife and Green Day. Further acts were announced in July, including Suede, TLC, Black Eyed Peas and The Kid Laroi. Learn more about accessing concerts at the Singapore Grand Prix in our trackside guide.

Marshmello to perform on Friday

Famed for chart-topping collaborations with the likes of Demi Lovato, Bastille and Selena Gomez, electronic music producer Marshmello will be bringing his best known hits to the main stage after the first day of Formula 1 practice at the 2022 Singapore Grand Prix.

Westlife headline on Saturday

Irish boyband Westlife will perform after qualifying on Saturday night at the 2022 Singapore Grand Prix. Ireland’s most prolific chart-toppers, the band’s tally of 14 UK number one singles is third only to Elvis Presley and The Beatles.

Following a six-year hiatus, Westlife re-formed in 2018 and will embark on a stadium tour this summer before heading to the Singapore Grand Prix in October. Joining Westlife at the Padang stage on Saturday night are TLC, Suede and Black Eyed Peas.

Green Day will perform on Sunday

Bringing the 2022 Singapore Grand Prix weekend to a close, American punk group Green Day will perform after the race on Sunday night. Formed in 1987, Green Day have sold over 85 million records during their impressive career, which has spawned hits such as American Idiot, Wake Me Up When September Ends and Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).

The Singapore Grand Prix is one of two F1 races at which Green Day will perform in 2022. They are also set to headline at the 2022 United States Grand Prix in October, alongside Ed Sheeran.

Black Eyed Peas will also perform for a second time on Sunday night. The line-up for the final night is completed by The Kid Laroi. The Australian rapper is perhaps best known for his hit Stay, a collaboration with Justin Bieber.

I am told that 3 day padang grandstand ticket entitles for all the Green Day, Westlife and Marshmello performances at 2022 Singapore Grand Prix

  3. Hi Andrew, I’m at turn 1 stand and assume I can get into Zone 4 for Green Day? Can you tell me what time they come on stage. Thanks

    1. Yes, if you are in the Turn 1 grandstand you have access to all the zones, including Zone 4 where the main Padang Stage is located. The race is scheduled from 20:00-22:00. Green Day will begin soon after the end of the race.

    1. Yes, but there’s a catch. Premier Walkabout give access to all the zones, which means you can see concerts on the Wharf Stage (Zone 1) and also the Padang Stage (Zone 4). All the headliners perform on the Padang Stage. But if you only buy a Zone 4 Walkabout, you cannot go outside of this zone – to Wharf Stage, for example.

  4. Can I know what time n date is marshmallow performing and is it at Padang also? Which zone ticket I need to purchase?

    1. Marshmello is playing on the Padang Stage (Zone 4) on Friday night, September 30. The start time hasn’t been confirmed, but the concert is probably going to start soon after the end of the track action that day, so I think it will start after 10pm

        1. It is not possible to buy tickets just for the concert, but you could buy a Friday-only ticket. You would need a ticket which allows access to Zone 4, which is where the concert takes place. Some tickets are still available on the Singapore Grand Prix website.

  5. Hello, If I buy Zone 4 walkabout tickets, will I be allowed to watch the Green Day concert? Or do I need to buy a ticket for that as well?

  6. Hi, I have a zone 4 walkabout ticket for Sunday to watch green day. Can I know how early I should be to have a spot near the stage? Waited 12 years for them to return haha so looking forward!
