The fifth edition of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in 2025 moves to a new calendar slot on April 18-20, after Ramadan. The race in Jeddah will be the fifth race of the new F1 season and, once again, takes place one week after the Bahrain Grand Prix. Jeddah doesn’t have a huge stock of hotels, and not that many international chains, but accommodation is generally of quite a high standard and prices are affordable by international standards. You are likely to pay a large premium for rooms at international chain hotels in Jeddah on race weekend, but many local hotels (and aparthotels) are well rated and much cheaper.
Accommodation Near Jeddah Corniche Circuit
The Jeddah Corniche Circuit is approximately 20-25km north of the old centre of Jeddah. The coastal area around the circuit is still developing (though it is home to several large malls), so there’s not many hotels within a short distance of the circuit. The best hotels close to the track are also more likely to be booked out by teams and other race personnel.
International chain hotels close to Jeddah Corniche Circuit:ย
- Shangri-La Jeddah
- Holiday Inn Jeddah Gateway
- Jeddah Hilton Hotel
- Waldorf Astoria Jeddah – Qasr Al Sharq
- Sheraton Jeddah Hotel
- Radisson Blu Hotel, Jeddah Corniche.
Well rated and affordable 3-star hotels and aparthotels close to Jeddah Corniche Circuit:
Accommodation in Central Jeddah
Many of the best international chain hotels can be found close to the beach to the north of Jeddah’s city centre and old city (Al-Balad). This location, about 5km north of the old city and 20km south of the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, puts you in a good location to both explore the city and also get to the track fairly easily and quickly. Some of the best international chain hotels on the north side of Jeddah, many of which are resort style with direct beach access, include:
- Hyatt House Jeddah Sari Street (13.7km from circuit)
- Assila, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Jeddah (16.5km from circuit)
- Le Meridien Jeddah (17.5km from circuit)
- The Ritz-Carlton Jeddah (18.5km from circuit)
- Mรถvenpick Hotel Jeddah (20 km from circuit)
- Novotel Jeddah Tahlia (20km from circuit)
- Intercontinental Jeddah (20km from circuit)
Accommodation near Jeddah Airport
Jeddah Airport is located around 15km east of the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, making airport hotels another option for your trip to the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Recommended hotels near King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) include the following:
- (4-star) Park Inn by Radisson Jeddah Madinah Road
- (5-star) Crowne Plaza Jeddah

I HIGHLY recommend against booking a room in a Saudi-owned hotel. Way back in October, I booked one across from the track. In February, they canceled. Due to limited availability, I booked another Saudi-run hotel in the general vicinity. After the experience with the first hotel, I decided to contact this hotel, just to reconfirm the reservation. They wrote back and told me that they could not honor the reservation because they are full. However, I can see that they are still accepting reservations through online booking platforms and they never actually canceled the reservation I made through Agoda. I booked a third Saudi-owned hotel and again received a booking confirmation through Agoda, but contacted them directly to reconfirm. It took them about a week before they responded by saying that they’re sorry, but it’s high season so they cannot accept the reservation (which again is still valid according to Agoda). There is no availability anymore with international chain hotels near the track, so I’ve tried one more booking with a Saudi hotel chain directly. However, for days now, I have been unable to reach them by phone to reconfirm and they have not responded to any of my emails. I’m really regretting getting tickets for this GP. It looks like we’ll probably be scrambling up until the last minute and end up staying on the opposite side of town. (Unfortunately, I have no confidence that the car rental agency will keep my reservation either!)
Really sorry to hear you have had such issues with your hotel booking in Jeddah. I hope it all works out. I’ll think about adding a warning as well to this post.
Thanks for the warning. I’m looking at attending the 2025 race and will be sure to keep this in mind when considering accommodation options.
