Both of Formula 1’s feeder series, Formula 2 and Formula 3 have revealed their 2025 calendars. Here’s where and when each series will be racing in 2025.
The Formula 2 and Formula 3 calendars for 2025 have been revealed. The schedules remain largely unchanged from this year, with each series visiting the same circuits as in 2024. Like 2024, Formula 2 will feature on the support line-up at 14 rounds of the 2024 Formula 1 season, while Formula 3 will race at ten rounds.
The biggest change from 2024 is that both series will begin their season in Australia. This is as a result of the Formula 1 season beginning in Australia in 2025 for the first time in six years. Next year’s F1 calendar was announced in early April. Formula 2 and Formula 3 have been visiting the Albert Park circuit since 2023.
The Melbourne races and the Bahrain round – the second of the season – will be the only rounds outside of Europe for Formula 3 in 2025, while Formula 2 will additionally visit Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Abu Dhabi. Baku City Circuit is the only other track which appears on the F2 calendar but not the F3 counterpart.
As has become tradition, the F2 season will finish on the same weekend as the season-closing Formula 1 race at Yas Marina Circuit. The F3 season will wrap up in early September at Monza, as part of the 2025 Italian Grand Prix weekend.
Although yet to be officially confirmed for 2025, Formula 2 and Formula 3 race weekends usually consist of a single qualifying session on Friday, a Sprint Race on Saturday and a longer Feature Race on Sunday.

Formula 2 will contest 28 races in 2025, with events taking place in 13 different countries. The ninth season of the modern F2 era begins on March 14-16 at the 2025 Australian Grand Prix. After a one-month break, a double-header of Middle Eastern races take place in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
After another month long break, F2 joins the F1 calendar for the majority of the European season, kicking off with the Imola-Monaco-Spain triple header. After further races throughout the summer in Austria, Britain, Belgium, Hungary, Italy and Azerbaijan, the season concludes after a two month break with a final double header of events in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
Speaking about the newly-unveiled schedule, Formula 2 CEO Bruno Michel commented on the mix of European and fly-away events on next year’s calendar:
“I’m very pleased to announce the F2 2025 calendar, which will comprise the same amount of rounds than the current season – fourteen. It’s the right balance between European rounds and fly-aways, across three continents, and keeping in mind the costs for our teams and drivers. It’s also a good mixture between old-school tracks and more modern layouts, which both have seen thrilling F2 races in recent years. I’m sure, this will be the case once more in 2025.”

Monaco returns to the Formula 3 calendar once more in 2025. The modern F3 championship only began racing in Monaco in 2023, 11 years after the series’ predecessor GP3 last raced there. Other classic tracks on next year’s schedule include Silverstone, Spa-Francorchamps and Monza, the latter of which will host the season finale.
