Take a tour of the Force India factory at Silverstone

Filed in Blog/News by on 0 Comments

Ever wondered what goes into making an F1 car? Go behind the scenes with a tour of the Force India factory, right next to the home of British motorsport at Silverstone.

Force India Factory tours, which run most weeks throughout the year, offer F1 fans the opportunity to meet the people behind the scenes and really experience what Formula One is about. Step inside the normally-secretive world of a Formula 1 factory; stand alongside technicians as they test the reliability of parts, pick up an F1 tyre and experience their sheer weight, try a wheel gun or observe a world-class driver in the simulator. Nothing gets you closer to the action! Particularly lucky guests have bumped into races drivers or met senior management – a unique chance to ask them a question or pose for a photo.

What’s included in the tour?

The tour takes approximately 90 minutes, including refreshments, gift and a photo opportunity with an F1 car. Guests are shown all aspects of how a modern Formula 1 car is designed and manufactured, including the normally off-limits design office, inspection departments, proof testing, machining, composite manufacture, sub assembly, race bays, simulator and of course, the cars themselves.
