Having set the bar for its range of musical acts since first joining the calendar in 2008, the Singapore Grand Prix can feel more like a music festival than a Grand Prix weekend at times! The event is set to take place for the 16th time in 2025 and race organisers have confirmed the first headline acts who’ll be performing on the Padang stage over the race weekend.

Elton John and G-Dragon Set to Perform

South Korean superstar rapper G-Dragon is set to perform at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix. Opening up the weekend as the first headline act on Friday October 3, G-Dragon is the leader of K-pop band BigBang. He was the first Korean solo artist to enter the Billboard 200 in the United States. Ahead of his Singapore Grand Prix performance in October, G-Dragon will release his first full-length studio album in over 11 years in February 2025.

Having sold over 300 million records in a career spanning over 60 years, Elton John will close out the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix weekend on Sunday October 5. With timeless hits like Tiny Dancer, Your Song and I’m Still Standing, he completed a five-year long “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour in 2023 and later that year performed a memorable headline slot at Glastonbury for the final stop on his UK tour.

This will be the first time Elton John has performed in Singapore since 2015. He has previously performed at an F1 race, most recently having appeared on the line-up for the 2015 United States Grand Prix at Circuit of The Americas.
