Yas Marina is the new money, Middle Eastern version of Monaco offering some of the more expensive tickets on the Formula 1 calendar. It’s not good news for fans on a budget, with the cheapest Abu Dhabi hill (General Admission) tickets priced at $270 USD for the weekend and no hostels offering cheap dorm beds. Grandstand tickets are also expensive, but worth splashing out on if you want a better viewing experience at Yas Marina.

At the higher end, the sky is the spending limit in terms of VIP tickets and fancy trackside hotels like the Yas Hotel Abu Dhabi (formerly Yas Viceroy.) With rising interest in Formula 1 and only a limited spectator capacity, it’s no surprise that ticket prices have been edging higher in recent years, along with hotel rooms rates in Abu Dhabi on race weekend.

  1. 2019 3 day ticket for Abu Dhabi Hill

I’m trying to find some images taken from Abu Dhabi Hill to get an idea of what photo s I can take and lens required

Can you get to other parts of the circuit to have a look around ?

Any advice would be great please

    1. Hi Paul, here are some images. Hill 1, Hill 2, Hill 3. To be honest, the views are not amazing from the Abu Dhabi Hill. Here are some more shots taken from there. Hill 4, Hill 5, Hill 6. You can get to other parts of the circuit, but the only other place where you can actually see the track is from the Marina. There’s a small section there where you can get it no problem, no ticket required. Also go there for dusk, where you can get those iconic images like this, which was actually taken from outside the circuit.

  2. Hi Andrew, I am planning my first trip to a GP in Abu Dhabi for a significant birthday. We will be based in Dubai and I don’t want to buy flights and hotels etc. until I am fairly sure I will get tickets for the Sunday. Can you advise of the likelihood of obtaining Sunday only tickets and can you recommend an outlet to avoid being ripped off? Many Thanks James

    1. Hi James, Sunday-only tickets are not available for the grandstands. The closest to this is weekend tickets for Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are not expected to go on sale until around March. Best place to buy tickets is through the circuit website or through Gootickets, you can find the links and more information on our site. What’s your budget for tickets? Do you want hospitality? I can make some recommendations if you give me more information.

    Hi Andrew,

What are the main differences in buying tickets from F1 (F1 Tickets) and Yas Marina Circuit Website.

    Thank You

    1. Price! The F1 Tickets are more expensive, as they apply a mark up of about 10%. So better to buy with the circuit direct or our supplier, Gootickets. Tickets won’t be on sale until around April 2020.

      1. Hey Andrew,

prices at formula1 com doesn‘t look so bad at the moment.
Do you know if they will be cheaper when yasmarina will release their tickets?

        Thanks!

    Thank You, Andrew.

What all the features I will get If I book the ticket in Yas Marina Circuit.
Planning to Book ticket from Thursday (26th 2020) to Sunday (30th 2020).

    1. Hello, you will get a seat in the grandstand (or access to the Abu Dhabi hill). You also get access to the concerts at Du Arena. The race is on Sunday, November 29 this year.

  5. Hello,

I just received an email on F1 Experiences for a package of tickets + hotel (I didn’t really like their options). I was wondering if just the tickets will go on sale? If so, when will they go on sale? I want to purchase 2 grandstand tickets for my husband and I.

        1. Hii,

So I’m trying to book for west grandstand section 10 but I cannot find it. Do you know where I can purchase it?

    1. Hi Jayne, you can’t really go wrong in the Main Grandstand. You have good views of the start, pits, post-race podium ceremony. Plus the F1 Fanzone is behind the Main Grandstand. Enjoy your trip!

    1. If you want 3-day tickets, you cannot get them for this price. The cheapest access is on the Abu Dhabi Hill (General Admission), but this is already sold out. You may still get access for one day for about 250 USD I believe.
