The MotoGP calendar is still very Euro-centric, with 12 of the 18 races held in Western Europe, including four in Spain. The calendar begins on the last weekend in March (just like the 2017 F1 season) with a night race in Qatar, followed by two more fly-away races in Argentina and the USA. The traditional European summer season begins on May 7 at Jerez (Spain) and finishes 11 rounds later at MotorLand Aragon (also in Spain) on September 24. The final part of the season sees three more fly-away races in Japan, Australia and Malaysia before the season-ending race in Valencia on November 12.
